RosauraEROLAOn May 2nd at the RUH, Rosaura Erola passed peacefully away, aged 89. When she was 4, her mother brought her and her young cousin to join her father in England, where he had been forced to flee for his life when threatened by Franco's dictatorship. They left their Catalan mountain village and crossed the Pyrenees and into France to escape. Ros trained as a librarian, and worked for Buckinghamshire Libraries before taking the post of Bath Branches Librarian. She and her team served the public until a widespread reorganisation in 1989 gave her the opportunity to take early retirement. Ros was well known by friends and neighbours for her deep love of cats, and she supported many charities. Arrangements have been made for a burial in the family grave in Bournemouth.
